Land of the Shining Mountains Near Red Lodge, Montana
-
Description
-
"Approaching the land of the shining mountains taken 27 miles from Red Lodge on Highway 12.
On the plateau in early spring, just after the Beartooth Hi-Way has been opened for travel. Many of these snow fields remain throughout the summer and it is a common sight to see tourists snowballing in July and August. Some of the local ski fans also do a little summer skiing 'On Top' in the merry month of June."
